I offer a free intake interview and assessment, which allows me to observe your current level of fitness, strengths and weaknesses, and fitness goals. I use a variety of training modes, including body weight, free-weights, shadowboxing, kettlebells, TRX, tabatas, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), resistance bands, myofascial release, and stretching. I create individualized workout programs that increase your body awareness, and teach you to lift, move, push, and pull through your life healthfully, properly, and safely. My goal is for you to be able to confidently work out on your own, assured that you are performing each exercise properly, using correct form and mechanics and for you to enjoy working out. I am currently only working with clients in their homes and, DUE TO COVID-19, I wear a mask at all times. (See My Training Grounds page for more details about my in-home training.)
I also offer group personal training if you prefer to work out with a friend or two or three. Not only is it a less expensive option, it's fun, motivating, and provides even more accountability.

Corrective exercise refers to a training program specifically designed to target a physical movement deficiency, to correct imbalances, to assist in injury recovery, and to prevent future injury. I always begin with a comprehensive evaluation, which includes an intake interview and an assessment that measures your movement patterns and functional capacity, mobility, and stability. I tailor an exercise program so that every action--soft tissue work, warm-up, stretching and training--is planned for your specific weaknesses, aches and pains, and needs. My goal is to increase your joint mobility and stability, your flexibility, eliminate dysfunctional movement patterns and replace them with correct movements, and strengthen your weak muscle groups.
